Chosing a theme, a concept, for a Hotel means a strong aim at a qualified upgrading. That’s why FerroHotel has decided to create a particular atmosphere in its interior design, revolving around the Concept of a Train, a means of transport almost forgotten.
Its rooms, the Hall, the Restaurant and its Bar have been furnished with objects calling the charming theme of the railway station and its platforms: thus the Traveller of the Past may revive in the new atmosphere of the Hotel.
A Concept Hotel is not only synonymous of quality, but also of environmental sustainability. That’s why FerroHotel has given environment the first place, combining it with its design and its comfort.
FerroHotel has also a strong communicative power tank to its location, only 700 mt from Matteotti Square, the downtown of the City of Modica, belonging to the World Heritage List.
In the history of man, travelling has represented an important moment of culture. FerroHotel wants to be a starting point to discover the South-East of Sicily. Leaving from the railway station of Modica the Traveller will be able to explore the beauties of the South-East of Sicily: the “Val di Noto”, the “baroque” towns of Ragusa Ibla, Scicli, Ispica, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Siracusa, the “marine” villages of Scoglitti, Donnalucata, Pozzallo, Marzamemi, Ortigia, Taormina, the “naturalistic” sites of Cava Ispica, Camarina, Pantalica, Mount Etna.
FerroHotel is Bus ECHELON® LonWorks® modern communication technology too. Its 21 refined rooms (15 standard and 6 superior) are centrally run, thus obtaining an excellent energetic saving as air conditioning and lighting are constantly monitored and adapted to the status of the room.
All its rooms overlook the marvelous view of Monserrato hill and they are fully equipped with satellite TV 26” – Sky Vision Gold – Pay per View – Free Internet via adsl – direct Telephone – Fridge bar – Safe - Air conditioning – Heating – Hair dryer.

Breakfast
Our “zero km” buffet breakfast is prepared using fresh food, chosen and produced by local farms, thus avoiding long journeys from the site of production to the consumer. A nice idea combining typical products to environmental sustainability.
FerroHotel promotes environmental sustainability on its territory. With “zero km” products it is also possible to reduce the number of lorries on the roads and of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
FerroHotel is easy to reach and its large private parking, few meters from the Reception, make Our Guest’s stay more comfortable.
Your wake up will be accompanied with the reading of your favorite newspaper.
The RESTAURANT “Platform 4”
The FerroHotel restaurant will enable you to enjoy your lunch and dinner in a suggestive atmosphere: Monserrato hill and the spectacular “Guerrieri” bridge, a high engineering work dated from 1967 which has been the highest bridge in Europe with its 137 meters.
Platform 4 has been conceived as an exclusive site where to live a unique eno-gastronomic experience.
Its precious details of a refined décor made of fine China, linen, fresh flowers masterfully blended with the search for outstanding raw materials offering flavours celebrating natural ingredients never manipulated which exalt the natural elegance of Platform 4 choices
From the versatile black to the pure of white, in a continuous chasing each other between contemporary and romantic, our Restaurant offers a “in crescendo” service made of care and lovingness for the Guest, who, by entering Platform 4, is the protagonist of a “sensorial journey” where taste and sight are stimulated and nicely satisfied.
Platform 4, with its 50 covers, is opened at lunch and dinner both fore Hotel Guests and for local people. It is closed on Wednesdays.
